Now, IndiGo's Flight Tickets can be Booked in 'Hindi'!

India's low-cost airline, IndiGo launches its website in Hindi exclusively for customers who prefer to book their flight tickets in the regional language. The airline is intending to have websites in Indian languages and has initiated the process with Hindi.

It is observed that over the last few years, the demand and usage of contents in regional languages have increased dramatically. India has nearly 637 million internet users as of March 2019, and Hindi content usages have witnessed a growth of 94 percent in 2018-19. Citing this transformation, the airline has taken the initiatives to develop its website that support regional languages.

Furthermore, IndiGo has about 48 percent share in the domestic air passenger market. Thus, the airline has launched the Hindi website to meet the customer's demand and it would further launch the website in other regional languages to build a stronger connection with the customers within Indian markets.

William Boulter, Chief Commercial Officer, IndiGo says, “We are pleased to announce the launch of our website in the Hindi language." He adds," The growing prominence of regional content and customer's demand for accessing the internet in Hindi, has been a key driver for us to include regional outreach as an important part of our consumer connects strategy."

IndiGo was established in 2005 and headquartered in Gurugram, Haryana. Being the largest airline in India, IndiGo has its operation spread across the country and its domestic sectors include Vishakapatnam, Vizag, Varanasi, Tirupati, Srinagar, Ranchi, Shirdi, Mysore, Mumbai, Bangalore and more.
